Michigan Philharmonic premieres my viola concerto this Friday

Violist Brett Deubner and the Michigan Philharmonic will premiere my viola concerto, apex of R, in a 7:30pm concert on Friday, November 12th, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Plymouth, Michigan. It will be a full-circle moment for my work with this wonderful orchestra, which began almost twenty years ago as a young arranger in graduate school. Since then, music director Nan Washburn and I have made a lot of music together; she is a fierce advocate of new music who I am honored to call a friend.
